Tata के हाथों क्यों बिक रहीं है Bisleri

In 1969, a company which made the whole world addicted to purchase the drinking water, today it is on sale. Yes, I am talking about Bisleri, with 60% market share, leading the Bisleri water bottle industry. Then, why does Ramesh Chauhan want to sell the company? In other words, he only wants to sell this company. Why Bisleri sold to Tata Group. Why Tata group acquiring Bisleri. While many companies like Reliance, Nestle and Danone have given better offers than Task and here another question arises whether Ramesh Chauhan will sell 100% shares of the entire company or some part of it. Why does bisleri only wanted to be sold to Tata Group?

So, let’s have a brief insight to the case study for Tata Group acquiring bisleri.

Bisleri was an Italian company which was started by Signor Felice Bisleri in the year 1965. He started selling water in a closed bottle, but Felice Bisleri died in 1967. After his death, his friend Kushroo Suntook and his family doctor Cesari Rossi decided to take this work forward. The plan was very good, for this they established their first water bottle plant in Mumbai.

At that time the quality of water in India was very dirty. His plan was also very good but at that time the plan did not work at all because at that time it was not affordable for people to buy water and that is why in the year 1969, Kushroo Suntook sold the Bisleri company to Ramesh Chauhan for Rs 4 lakh.

Ramesh Chauhan initially wanted to launch Bisleri in the Indian market as a soda and soft drinking business, but he suffered heavy losses. Due to which in the year 1993, he sold this business to Coca-Cola for 400 crores.

After this, Ramesh Chauhan paid attention to the potential of Bisleri’s package sealed water bottle market. To make Bisleri a brand, he focused on making Bisleri available everywhere. For which he made bisleri’s big container to small package bottle available everywhere at railway station, bus stand, restaurant and public places. Along with this, due to Bisleri’s branding and advertising, he got Bisleri to promote pure and clean water. That’s why today the second name of purity is Bisleri.

Due to all these reasons, today Bisleri has become the only company selling more than 20 million liters of water daily with more than 135 plants, more than 3.5 lakh retail partners, more than 5000 distributors.

Why Mighty Bisleri Sold to Tata?

Ramesh Chauhan has said that he is almost eighty-two years old, now he wants to take rest, due to which he will not be able to manage the company. Second, the biggest reason here is that he does not have any child to manage the company. Just his only daughter whose name is Jayanti, who has flatly refused to run the company. It is not that Jayanthi has not run the Bisleri company at all. Recently she was the Vice Chairman of the Bisleri Company.

Jayanti Chauhan

At the age of twenty-four, he took over the responsibility of his father’s business and Jayanti was in charge of Bisleri’s advertising and marketing. It was Jayanti who started the company’s automation processor and today Bisleri has become such an international brand. The most important role is of Jayanthi but Jayanthi has studied fashion designing, photography and styling from Los Angeles, in which she wants to make her career.

Due to which his interest is not at all in his father’s business and this is the reason that when the news of Tata Acquiring Bisleri reached Jayanti, he wrote on Twitter that there are two sides to every story, on which there is a ruckus on Twitter. Third, the biggest reason is that before selling Bisleri, Tata has approached them many times to buy it.

Ramesh Chauhan has said on this that he likes the culture and value of Tata very much and Ramesh Chauhan has a lot of attachment to his company, due to which he wants to hand over the company to such hands who take care of the company like him. This is the reason why he has rejected even big offers like Reliance and for your information let me tell you that Tata Consumer Products can buy Bisleri for six to seven thousand crores. And a question comes here whether Ramesh Chauhan will sell the whole company to Tata or will sell some part of it, then listen to this clip for this. 👇
