Cuban Missile Crises - The Cold War Era ll A horrifying incident
Cuban missile crises was started in 1964. It was a confrontation between two nations USA and USSR. Cuban missile crises almost lead to world war 3.Before 1934 also USSR was ruled by American Captain and there was a long history of American dominance on USSR.
On April 1961, tensions started increasing between USSR and USA. Both of them started creating weapons and a competition started between them. USA was leading in. Basically we can term it as an ideological conflict, where USSR was showing communism and socialism while USA was showing capitalism. Later, USA declared to invade in the USSR.
When USSR heard this they write a letter stating that USA is going to invade on us between 12-74hrs. There were two possibilities on how they will attack them. First they may invade through jets. Second they may fully invade through jets, submarines etc. At this moment USSR thought to throw nuclear weapon on them if they want themselves to be saved. Later on when the war was started. In Cuba US embassy was closed and all the diplomatic relationships were removed. US also closed all the financial and diplomatic relationships with user.
On April 1961,America secretly financed and trained more than 1500 cuban exiles. It was done secretly. But this moment was a failure. On November 1961 second operation named Mongoose by America was sent.
Overall the end results of Cuban missile crises were horrifying and could had been more worse. It’s effect on nation states were multiple both economically and socially until its subsequent years.
During this war, India first supported user but after its dissolution it shared a equal relationship with both the countries.
One lesson we learn from this war was. Never try to harm others nation in a conflict. You can stop talking to them, cut off all your relationships but don’t just harm each other as it leads to big crises.
